Family Practice Physicians
The Family Health Team provides high quality, accessible health care and community programs to empower people to live healthier lives. We are seeking Family Practice Physicians with an interest in working in a Team environment. Main responsibilities include providing medical care to rostered patients and consultation support to members of the team. The successful candidate will have:
• License to practice medicine and membership in good standing with the Ontario Medical Association and College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
• C.C.F.P. certification.
• Willing to work as a member of interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated exp. in community-based primary care.
• Knowledge and sensitivity to the impact of social, economic, environmental and cultural issues
• Willing to work with local area physicians in providing coverage in the emergency department on a rotation basis.
• These positions will be required to provide coverage on week-days, as well as a block of 4 hours after office hours either evenings or weekends.
• Flexible work schedule – 40 hours per week.
• Turnkey operation, no financial outlay, all equipment in place including, Tele-Medicine.
• Rostered patients in place
• Salary commensurate with Ministry of Health guidelines for Family Health Teams.
• Site visit to be arranged.

The Clinic serves Lake Huron shoreline communities and surrounding rural area of the Town of South Bruce Peninsula. Sauble Beach is famous for its 7 miles of clean, white sandy beach, located on shore of Lake Huron.
Sauble Beach and the surrounding areas have a mix of long term residents, farmers, young growing families, and two First Nations communities, as well as repeat visitors who have chosen the Bruce Peninsula as a place to retire to. Because of fluctuating seasonal and tourist population, it can vary from approx. 6,000 to 60,000 residents in summer.
The local housing market offers a variety of styles of homes in various locations and at affordable prices. Owning a home on the water, with acreage or even in an established subdivision can be a reality.
Cultural opportunities include theater, music festivals etc. Our Community Centre and Library are busy year round.
Elementary Schools are widespread in the area.
Many local organizations provide activities and fun for the whole family. Fairs, multi-cultural events, casual and fine dining are all in a short drive.
The Churches in the area represent a variety of faiths.
The natural recreational opportunities offered in the area are exceptional, drawing tourists year round.
The waters of Lake Huron are mere steps away for swimming, canoeing, sailing and boating enthusiasts alike, close to Georgian Bay
The Niagara Escarpment and Bruce Trail can be at your back door for hikers, amateur biologists and naturalists.
The World Biosphere – Bruce Peninsula National Park - is not far and accommodates World class diving enthusiasts.
Local Community Clubs and Organizations maintain all trails for Cross-country skiers, Snow-mobilers and A.T.V. enthusiasts.
For the Golfers, there are several courses and clubs within the local community and others just a short drive away.
